European Blue Print for cooperatives

Cooperatives Europe has started its new European Blue Print project (#EUBluePrint) which aims at outlining the streghts and the potential of the European cooperative movement.

The current work on the EU Cooperative Roadmap, the cooperative manifesto as well as supporting members in cooperative legislative matters has proved the importance of wider and deeper sharing of information and Europe-wide cooperative network building.

Therefore, Cooperatives Europe has initiated the work on the first pilot Blue Print project for cooperatives in Europe. They will conduct research in order to collect up-to-date facts and figures on cooperatives and to build up a network of information experts from all our members across Europe. Cooperatives Europe comments on the project "This is an ambitious project and we are convinced that its outcomes will definitely help our members and us in our advocacy activities".

The first pilot project officially started in February 2015 and will run until November 2015.

Cooperatives Europe is the voice of cooperative enterprises in Europe. On behalf of 82 member organisations from 33 European countries across all business sectors it promotes the cooperative business model in Europe. Its members represent 123 million individual member cooperators owning 160.000 co-operative enterprises and providing jobs to 5.4 million European citizens - a force for economic growth and social change.
